Overview

  • Lessons are based on a calendar year from Labor Day – Memorial Day
  • Series includes optional lessons for a longer church year or Summer Sunday School
  • Lesson on Jesus’ Birth can be scheduled on the Sunday before Christmas
  • Lesson on Jesus’ Resurrection can be scheduled on Easter Sunday
  • Old Testament lessons should be covered up until three Sundays before Christmas
  • New Testament lessons should be covered after Christmas
  • Original Teacher’s Notes apply to the lessons
  • Every lesson has a take home paper retelling the lesson for the parents’ use and review
  • Each lesson includes a project to take home
  • Each lesson includes a hymn from The Lutheran Hymnal or Worship Supplement or a well-known song
  • Each lesson lists a passage to memorize
